When it comes to creating a content, especially on a social media, you have to be interesting and not putting your product in the first plan.


What benefint your product/service brings to a customers?


The most common mistake that individuals make when it comes to content creation is putting the product/service in the foreground. However, the product/service is not important, it is important to focus on the benefit that customers get from it.




For example, if your product is a face cream, focus on sharing educational content that explains skin problems to your target audience, why they occur and how to deal with them, and then offer them your product as a solution. In this way, you identify with the target group, become closer to them and gain their trust with your knowledge.


Let your product/service always be in a second plan (not meaning that it is not important but just that you don't want to represent it to your audience as the most important thing for you - always put your customer and their needs first.)




Content media strategy is one of the most important things when it comes to Social Media. Without it, you will just be perceived as another cold brand who is just trying to "sell". I am sure this is not something you are looking for when it comes to connecting to your audience.


So let me help you start with it...


First thing you need to do is make a plan of a content that you will be posting on your social media. This way you will be able to always post and be in touch with your target audience. It will also help you manage your timing better and focus on the quality of your content.


Second, create a relevant content. You have to understand that not everyone is your target audience and you only need to focus on those who are. Analyse their needs, what type of content they mostly like/share, what problems they have, how can your product/service help with it.


Third, consistency is the key! If you want to attract your customers to follow you on social media you have to be consistent with what you post and how you post. This means, not following the trends just because it is "popular" on instagram, if it doesn't fit into your business. Here we come back to the number one which is planning. You can not be consistent if you do not have the first plan on how and what to post to be interesting to your target audience.


Steps of a content marketing


Now, after you decided to make your content marketing strategy, let's talk about the steps you should follow.


  1. Define what are your goals (this will help you to analyse success after a while and make it easier to realise what kind of a content you want to share. For example, if you want to grow the number of your followers (but we have to talk only about your target audience) then you might focus more on creating "Reels" if your target audience is on instagram)

  2. Think of what and how will you analyse

  3. Collect data of your target audience, check what type of content they consume and which social media they use (if most of your target audience is using Tik Tok then you need to grow your brand there and not on instagram)

  4. Create content and make a posting plan

  5. Set your creativity free but stay relevant to your audience



You need to know that content marketing is a long, hard but worth way. Nothing will come over night and you have to keep analysing, posting, creating to get the best results. In another words, the persistence is what is what separates the successful from the unsuccessful brands.
